If you’re a great student, (and you are!), you’ll have no trouble finding someone in each class who also has good study habits and is happy to talk to you about the class and studying for it. For heavy duty concentrating and reading, it’s still best to study in a very quiet place with few interruptions or distractions, but a study partner will be a much needed “condiment” to that quiet “meal” of studying.
You can’t be in all places at once to hear all the news, so it may be your study buddy who tells you, “I hear the prof gives homework problems on the exam!” or “A guy who took his class last year told me to be sure to read the outside references, because that’s all this guy cares about!” If there are extra study sessions outside of class for the purpose of going over how to work the chapter problems, you and your partner could arrange to rotate spending your time attending and learning what’s presented – then sharing it.
Try to link yourself with one or two others in each class who are on or above your level, and it will save you a lot of time and help your grades. Besides, it will be a lot more fun!
