If you’re studying something complex or with a massive amount of material, taking the time to filter it, condense it, and make it very understandable in a blog post for others can help you to understand the material a lot better. After all, if there are any holes in your notes or understanding, you’ll have to get those fixed before you publish your post for all the world to see! Also, the act of crafting the post will help you to remember the things you explain in your writing.
